Well, I am 32 year young mom :)) of three beautifull children, two girls and one boy. I used to exercise pretty regularly until my pregnancy #3. I am hoping to find the passion for exercise again and share it with my kids. Also I want to find my energy, which as of now is gone and I do not think is just because I got newborn at home. I think it has a lot to do with the way I eat and that I do not exercise. But I feel it will be tough.

stretching, biking, dance, strengh exercise

not regularly
What is your favorite food?

Hi Tracey,
The only thing I can say is you are absolutelly correct and I know it. The hard part for me, as for every one out there, is to actually put it in work or action. I like to eat and when I had no kids it was easier to learn new recipes and new way of cooking so to speak, but now with three little ones, no energy and bad attitude about myself and being older means harder to loose baby inches it is really chalenge. I know excuses. I just do not know how to get started actually doing it, specially with the food. I like to eat diversity of foods, but have really hard time with planning meals and at the end sticking with it. Also my kids and my husband are hard to change for there preferences. Even though I think we do not eat that bad. My motto is moderation. I slowly am changing our food to organic, but I think my biggest hinderence is that night eating or snacking and not drinking plenty of fluids. I do not know why I have such a hard time with it now. I was pretty good, but with my third pregnancy it seems that I just cannot put my foot down with the water drinking.. I think for me it is everything connected with emotional eating. Well I bled my heart to you :(. Thank you for encouragament and time you find for me. I love it. Have a great day.

Hi Marti,
I'm sorry to hear that you have had no results but what you eat is as equally as important as the exercise if not more. I know sometimes we're tempted to eat more when we exercise as we can give ourselves permission to eat a little more.
I know it's hard to re-education yourself on portions but I promise after a while it will come second nature. Always have lots of fruit and veggies on hand. Get rid of junk food you or your family really don't need it. Start planning your meals and your snacks, never go out the door with out pre-packed snacks. Yes, It's a lot of work but just think how much better you will feel when you finally lose the weight!!
Take-care and good luck!

Wow, our kids are really close in age. It's tough, but I love it. I have a hard time with the eating portion as well, but I'm just plugging along. I usually work out during nap time. I've finally got it that they usually all go down around the same time in the afternoon. I use to wait for that time so that I could sleep, but working out gives me the energy to make it through the rest of the day! I'm not real good at exercising in the morning...the kids need my attention and I have NO energy. When nap time doesn't work out, I wait until the kids are in bed. Keep at it. I've been on this since April, down 20 lbs and feeling great. I do struggle with food, but try to just exercise more on those days that I fall short in the eating area =)

I'm in Northern NY where it's freezing most of the year :) I'm glad you're doing better at night! That's exciting to hear! I've been doing better the last week or so. The weekends are what I struggle with the most. I always just want to snack. I started having an after dinner snack during the week and that seemed to help. Before I would just try to eat dinner and get through the night then I would just keep snacking! I have a wedding that I'm in next weekend so I'm trying really hard to remember I have to fit in that dress! :) I hope your summer was wonderful!

Hi Marti! I just read how you struggle with late night eating. How are you doing with that? Have you found a way to help with that? I've been struggling with it too and wanted to get some more ideas!
