Anyone?

I think this forum is such a great idea and I really wish it was active.  Anyone out there??  I love Tracey's books and videos and have become more and more convinced that her plan is just "right" for me.  But it's hard to do on my own and I have a ways to go......

Weaknesses

So far, down 2 lbs and an inch here and there (don't have the numbers w/me at this moment). The exercise is hit or miss--I have some weeks where I get it in 5x and some weeks where I get it in 1x. I have noticed that I don't feel the need to nap during the day. I have more energy in general. That could be because I'm drinking water instead of pop, the exercise or my attempt at better eating. I am still not 100% on the eating. Today, for instance, I did awesome at breakfast and lunch but then… Continue

Still At It

I am keeping up the exercise! Tracey's videos kick my butt. I was sweating and worn out after today's work out. I did Phase 1 on "Get Your Body Back" and then the cellulite segment at the end. I even upped my intensity a bit and was feeling it!! It feels good to get active. I am getting in about 3x week on average but hoping to go for 5x. We've had RSV and now the stomach flu in the house but I am still finding the time to work out. It feels good!

As for food, I watched a video today… Continue

Again

I completed phase 1 circuits again today. I worked hard this time, too--used weights and put more effort into it. I felt it! I was a sweaty mess afterward! And I accomplished this with sick kids so that's amazing. Of course ,my hubby is home today so that gave me some peace of mind.

Also, and this is HUGE, I gave up pop. I read what Tracey said about it somewhere on this site in an answer to someone's question. I just knew it was time to stop because it's so many calories (not a fan… Continue

Woo Hoo!

I did it! I planned to work out this morning during my baby's 1st nap and I actually followed through. He was a little hard to get down for a nap today and the other kids were loud and fighting and the kitchen was a mess but I somehow managed it all. I did Phase 1 of the Get Your Body Back video (plus warm up/cool down). It went really fast and I felt like I could do it! I mean, I made modifications. I didn't use weights just because my shoulders are still sore from the planks and similar… Continue

Feeling it

So that bit of exercise I did yesterday made an impact. I am feeling it today--good pain. :) My arms hurt from supporting myself, my butt/thighs hurt from the exercises... I just have felt it as I did stairs today for my laundry. I have not exercised today and I feel I probably could squeeze it in now but I am feeling wiped. I have a goal for tomorrow, though. I am home until 3:30 so I plan on exercising during my baby's 1st nap. That still gives me time to be productive w/the housework and be… Continue

Hi Rikki! I'm due July 8th, so I'm in my "honeymoon" stage - feeling great, not showing much belly, and have lots more energy. Yes, it's great to have support! I had no clue during my first pregnancy as far as exercise and diet, so with this pregnancy, I'm feeling better because I'm eating better and exercising about 5 days per week. Tracey has lots of info in her Super Fit Mama book that's really opened my eyes! Oh, I have a question for you. Since you had your newborn, have you tried the "finger test" with measuring the ab separation? And, have you done anything with the towel/ab exercise that Tracey says in her book? I'm just curious to see what you think of it. :) Thanks for replying, Rikki.... Amanda

Oh James McAvoy (happy sigh)...

You don't even want to know how much time I have spent watching everything that man has done.

Hope you had a great day!

Hi Rikki,

I am still on Spark although I hadn't been on in months until about a few days ago :-X My name is eahouston85, and I'm going to try to start going on it again at least occasionally. I do really like this food plan because it's really easy to make decisions if you have a list of "good" foods to choose from. See you around! (Don't quit!)

Hi Rikki,

Are you the same Rikki from Team 3 in the Done Girls challenge this past fall? I don't even know what made me think of that, but if you are, great to see you again, and if you're a new friend I'm meeting in this challenge, then best of luck to you!

I would reccomend you not eating past dinner no later than 6pm if this is possible and eat a very light snack a few hours later if you're hungry. Maybe a peice of fruit or a yogurt as long as it's not going over your daily requirements you will be fine. Does this answer your question?
Happy Holidays!!

Well, you are right that I get crazy, but I don't start off that way. I start slow. I'm just going to be walking after the baby is born. I'm also going to be joining Weight Watchers for accountability. I do well with their program.

When I started, I was a couch potato. Very lazy. You can't go from 1 to 100 right away...it's too frustrating. Tracey is really cool too. She's a great resource to have for support as well, and since you are part of her site, I know she'll make some time for you.

I'm going to be starting my weight ticker about a month after the baby is born, but it will all be on my site. It's just easier that way...I'm part of alot of these social networks.

One piece of advice to help you now is you got to find an exercise that you like and doesn't bore you. Do you know what that is yet? There is alot to choose from: yoga, pilates, taebo, power walking, jogging, etc.

Oh Rikki! We can lose weight again together. I'm about to give birth again and gained about 50 lbs. I'm just going to do what I did last time and I can keep you in the loop if you want. 50 lbs. will be easier than 104 lbs. like last time.
