Thanks, Amanda! Yeah, that's kind of what I'm thinking: rely on fruits and veggies and SMALL servings of protein for snacks in between meals ('cuz I DO get ravenous in between meals), and really watch the carbs.

I'm a wife and mom first and foremost, but when I'm not busy taking care of my hubby and kids, I love to decorate, garden, and prepare healthy meals that TASTE GOOD. I grew up thinking healthy food had to taste blah and bland and be boring to prepare. I have learned otherwise in the last few years and am on a mission to teach my own kids that it's FUN to eat healthy food!
