Hi Ladies!
I'm trying to find anyone who is a Team Mallett member and who is due with their baby this summer 2010. I'm due July 8th, and want to have a friend for support! Most weeks I do very well with eating/exercising out of the "Super Fit Mama" book, but then a few days I splurge.... Anyway, reply if you're a mama due this summer! I appreciate it!

I'm super excited to announce I now have my very own Tracey Mallett Fitness iPhone App. Considering I'm an iPhone junkie you can imagine how I'm loving this right now. How cool to be able to have seven whole w

I am keeping up the exercise! Tracey's videos kick my butt. I was sweating and worn out after today's work out. I did Phase 1 on "Get Your Body Back" and then the cellulite segment at the end. I even upped my intensity a bit and was feeling it!! It feels good to get active. I am getting in about 3x week on average but hoping to go for 5x. We've had RSV and now the stomach flu in the house but I am still finding the time to work out. It feels good!
As for food, I watched a video today ab…

I miscounted and am a week late starting my official 5k training. I thought my race was post-poned until September, but found out it will be in April. Well, maybe a half a week late starting. No problem, jumping in.…

I was tired..just tired of the extra weight I had put on after pregnancy. I was tired of seeing pictures of myself and remembering how thin I used to be. So I started going to the gym late last year. The gym has helped a bit with energy and confidence, but it just wasn't targeting the areas that had really taken the brute of the weight. I went through some old pages of workouts I had saved and came upon a 2007 issue of Tracey Mallet's post baby workout. I have been doing it since late January an…

I completed phase 1 circuits again today. I worked hard this time, too--used weights and put more effort into it. I felt it! I was a sweaty mess afterward! And I accomplished this with sick kids so that's amazing. Of course ,my hubby is home today so that gave me some peace of mind.
Also, and this is HUGE, I gave up pop. I read what Tracey said about it somewhere on this site in an answer to someone's question. I just knew it was time to stop because it's so many calories (not a fan of…

I did it! I planned to work out this morning during my baby's 1st nap and I actually followed through. He was a little hard to get down for a nap today and the other kids were loud and fighting and the kitchen was a mess but I somehow managed it all. I did Phase 1 of the Get Your Body Back video (plus warm up/cool down). It went really fast and I felt like I could do it! I mean, I made modifications. I didn't use weights just because my shoulders are still sore from the planks and similar exerci…

So that bit of exercise I did yesterday made an impact. I am feeling it today--good pain. :) My arms hurt from supporting myself, my butt/thighs hurt from the exercises... I just have felt it as I did stairs today for my laundry. I have not exercised today and I feel I probably could squeeze it in now but I am feeling wiped. I have a goal for tomorrow, though. I am home until 3:30 so I plan on exercising during my baby's 1st nap. That still gives me time to be productive w/the housework and be w…

After I posted that last blog, I realized I could squeeze some workout time in right now. I got through Phase 1 Abs and most of Phase 1 Butt on the Lose the Belly Flab video before baby woke up. It was killer for me but I am glad I did it. I am feeling it now--and really would like a rest now! :)
I really appreciated Tracey's encouragement on that video--as a mom 7 weeks postpartum, I felt like her words were what I needed to hear and made me feel better about my performance!

My frustration is myself. I am just not fitting in the exercise. And I know it would help energize me but the lack of energy is a major factor. I have never done well with little sleep and it seems worse the older I get!! My baby is 7 weeks old so hopefully more sleep is coming. So I have looked at my schedule, jotted some ideas down on when to fit it in. I can't exercise in the morning in my living room because the bassinet is out there at night. But I do have my own room downstairs for crafts…

My sis called last night just to chat. Things have been hectic for both of us lately and she was apologizing for 'falling off the Earth'. Which made me laugh because usually I'm the one that does that.…

The other morning I got up and put on my workout clothes. Something I do most mornings because I am less likely to punk out on my workout if I am already dressed for it. This morning in particular, however I had forgotten to lay out a shirt with my workout clothes. Ugh, I did not want to go upstairs to get one and chance waking up my boys. (Quiet time in the morning is a much loved thing to me!) So I dug around the laundry room and could only find shirts belonging to my hubby. I pulled out a whi…

So my little guy slept through the night last night, giving me a good 5-6 hours of sleep. It's sad that that is good sleep but what can you expect with a 1-month-old?? Anyway, the desire is there to exercise today but I feel so behind with house stuff. The kitchen, living room, bathroom are all a mess. Laundry needs to be done. Sheets need to be changed. Not to mention I have 3 other kids home today and they want some attention. AHHH! So balance and making that time will be something I need to w…

I splurged a little while back and bought a body fat analyzer from Amazon. The scale wasn't moving, yet I was seeing a difference in my clothes (my jeans are getting downright baggy). I'm so thrilled with it. I've been tracking my body fat percentage with it since late January and have seen changes there even when the scale didn't move.
January 25 my body fat percentage was 35% (I know, eep).
Today my body fat percentage is 33%.
I'll take it! Fat loss is what is important, not 'weight' on…
