Okay, its nearly that time to finally show our beautiful bodies on the beach!! Yes, I know that thought is very scary but not to worry we still have time to get in shape for swimsuit season. Its definietly time to splurge and buy my book Sexy in 6 and the Quick Blast videos.
Here are some tips to finally love the bikini butt:
1. Slip in some extra burn by contracting and releasing the glutes continuously for 2 minutes at a time…

So as most of you know I had my friends bachelorette party this weekend. I was really good Friday... got up early, worked out, and brought with me some fruit and Luna bars cuz I knew it would be hard to stick to the eating. I caved in when we all went out to dinner. I was really good and ordered salmon... then all the girls started ordering drinks and I caved in to the peer pressure! It was hard! I'm the only mom in the whole bunch! All these girls are single and love going out and drinking!…

It's been a TOUGH week! First I got sick with a sinus infection, then Angelina got sick with a cold that went into her chest. So we ended up having to go to the hospital on Thursday afternoon, my poor baby was wheezing and had a temperature of 102 degrees. I love her pediatrician but I really don't like the staff there! They were unable to accommodate us to see her doctor even when she was not well and needed to be seen right away. So off to the hospital we went. They treated her and sent us…

Yesterday a package arrived from my future sister-n-law. She'd sent us a box pears from Harry and Davids for our joint April birthdays. They were so beautiful that I lined them up in our window as the morning sun came in and snapped this image. I was so thankful that she sent us fruit, something healthy. I ate one with my yogurt this morning for breakfast.…

Many grocery stores have implemented bag recycling programs, but transportation of these bags to and from stores requires valuable resources. And 99% of the 100 billion plastic shopping bags used in the U.S. are never recycled, with a single bag taking up to 1,000 years to fully break down. What can you do?
Bring your own cloth or fabric bags when you shop!
If you grocery shop once a week, in five years you’ll have kept about 250 to…

Ok, so I was a bit over zealous last night and decided to try Tracey' Boot Camp DVD. All I can say is I'm sore today......I did recognize some of the moves in her DVD from The Method - Bootcamp workout video I used to do! It was worth the sweat, and I felt really good afterworads and proud for stickig thru the entire workout. Working out this morning was a bit challenging......oh my legs:)

After meeting with some of you out there on Saturday I realized how important is to really understand and monitor your abdominal seperation. Even if you delivered many years ago you could still have a seperation, this may be the missing link to achieving a flat belly again and reduce lower back pain.
After childbirth, I was amazed how my once-tight tummy looked like a deflated balloon (not a preety sight!) well let me tell you what exactly…

I've been making alot of this:
1 : First I cook the Whole Wheat CousCous.
2 : Next I chop Cilantro, Chives, Mimi Pearl Tomatoes, Persian Cucumbers, and Garlic.
3 : Then I squeeze the juice from one lime and a touch of olive oil, cyan pepper, and cumin stir this together, pour over the couscous and veggies.
I serve it at room temperature and make it a complete meal of it, I make a small lettuce salad and top if off with warm, seasoned and sauteed extra firm…

Well I've got week one under my belt for the BABC. It went really well....I'm pretty pleased with myself that I worked out five days last week. I started off full blast last week, but this week I've already had some pitfalls (thanks to mother nature!). Eating seems to be my biggest challenge (aside from waking up at 5am) - but I'm loving the breakfast smoothies!
I've also been talking with a co-worker of mine about the BABC and she was so interested she wanted to borrow the Quick Blast DVD…

I've been "under the weather" for the past week or so, and what I thought was a simple cold, turned out to be a sinus infection. I have no fever, I just feel crappy (excuse the expression!). I went to the doctor yesterday and he gave me some antibiotics and I've been focusing on resting but I didn't want to stop working out... well, let's rephrase that: I really wanted to make an excuse to work out (I don't feel good, I need to rest, I'm cold, etc.), but I remember what I read in Tracey's book…

I feel fantastic! It's Day 2 of Week 2 and I feel better than ever. I haven't worked out this morning, but I will after I get some work done and my Nanny gets here. I feel that I have more energy and that I am actually losing weight and inches. It's slight, but I can tell. The workouts are great, when I'm wearing the correct type of support bra. My breasts have never been this large, since I'm nursing right now, so those first couple of workouts were rough. I couldn't do half the cardio jumping…

It was sooo nice to meet some of you other moms the other day!! I admire all of you that are making this commitment to yourself. That's my biggest challenge... finally taking some "me" time. Some of the other moms were worried about being able to find the time to work out. I always thought, "I don't have time to go to a gym and workout!" But that's the beauty of Tracey's workouts... I can do it at home and it only takes minutes!! What works for me is to schedule it early in the morning. And the…

This week is going to be little tough but I am equal to the task. I have no help this week, have to still work full time, be room mom and to fit my workouts everyday with four kids at my feet.
So this morning I could not wake up early just to tired from working with by husband until late. I decided even though I need to make the beds, put in a load of clothes, wash the dishes from breakfast, clean up the toy mess from early morning cartoon-time, answer 10 emails, check my voice mail…

Week Summary: 5 lbs lost, 6 Great Workouts, 7 parking spots further from the store then I used to park dragging 4 kids behind, 7 protein shakes, 7 Luna bars, 7 large salads, tons of carrots to snack on, 224 oz of water, 1 piece of cake and 1 In n Out Burger …etc.
So I was half way through this week and came to a huge realization that I never had before given never really being on a diet -- I am a lot weaker than I thought I was in my will power -- when times get a little…

1.
Do not go to dinner starving-temptation will probably get the better of you. Instead, eat a piece of fruit or some veggies about an hour before you go out. The fiber will keep you feeling fuller over a longer period of time without the extra calories.
2.
Go easy on the alcohol- not only does it contain a lot of empty calories but will often take away your willpower with food which often leads to over eating.
3.
Take the… Continue

I have found after this first week that I am a bit of an "obsessor". As I look back over the times I've tried to diet in the past, the only times I've done well, is when it has consumed me. Now I'm not saying that is a good thing, but I know that eating right and exercise has to be on my mind all the time, or I slip up too easily. My husband is now tired of me talking about how many Ps, Gs and Fs I've had throughout the day, so my new resolve is to write here about it. This website has truly…

So I thought to myself that I would like to do a daily update of this Body After Baby Journey. One main reason... to keep myself in CHECK!! But also to share with you other moms what I'm going through day to day... you're probably jumping over all the same hurdles! It's hard... I know.. I've got 2 kids, ages 2 1/2 and 9 months. I also work from home while watching the kids. Since having both of them my self-esteem has REALLY taken a dive. Everyone said, "You're young... you can get the weight…

Hello All,
My name is Dana, I am a 28 year old housewife from elk grove, ca. A little over 2 years ago I weighed more than 200 pounds. I have always had weight issues(Who Hasn't?) After the birth of my second daughter I felt I had lost my battle with my weight. I decided one day to check out exercise tv on demand through my cable provider, in hindsight that might have been one of the best decisions I ever made because that is where I found Tracey Mallett. I started using her workouts…

My mission as a fitness expert is to guide and motivate you to find time to put yourself first just a few hours a week, I know exercise is the last thing on your mind, or is it sex?
I’m sure it’s a close tie after hard day with the kids and work but remember exercise will give you energy and bring your confidence back. I like to look at it like this, If your mind and body feels good your whole out look on life will completely change. No longer…
