When I weighed myself this week, I realized I had gained a pound. This weekend I was at the Iron Girl in San Diego. It had to be one of the most powerful experiences for me as a women, mother, wife and friend.

third week update

So I just finish my 3rd week in the TM program.

I started with 158 pounds, and now i'm down to 54. I know is really not much for 3 weeks, but I really feel confident about the plan. My cloth fits a lot looser, and I actually lost 1 inch on my weist, half an inch everywhere else. The work outs are getting easier and easier to do. And I do feel like I have a lot more energy. I do wish the weight was coming down a lot faster though, I keep thinking that mybe after 3 more weeks, i'll only… Continue

I can hardly believe it!......

It seems like just yesterday that my daughter Natalie was just a little baby and now this week she will be 24 years old! Her little baby girl is now the spitting image of her and I love em both! I had to celebrate that thought by working out even harder this week because it is my goal to be ninety and Movin! So, I slipped on my 6 lb. walkvest and walked 4 miles, I really don't mind getting older so long as I can keep moving like I am today.

What a Kick-butt workout!

I agree with Erica, boy was that a tough workout... I left Tracey's place yesterday feeling pretty sore, the good type of soreness... the one where you know that you did something good for your body and again, regained my energy, focus and will. Week 10......a healthier me!

Yesterday I was able to wear my "skinny jeans" to work! The last time I wore them was six years ago (when I first met my husband.....I asked him how I looked yesterday and he commented "Great! Great Summer Evening Last Night!

Joe and I watch our little Grandbaby Sophie each evening and sometimes getting in a workout is difficult. Yesterdays heat was so unbearable (even in South Redondo Beach) so we pack little Sophie in the Jogger and made a 4 mile trek (to and from) the R.B. Pier, had dinner, and walked back. Tracey's Plan is Working!!



Having a baby is the best thing to ever happen to a woman. I love my children but I didn't like being out of shape. It would be so wonderful if our bodies could just whip back into shape right away and then we could focus on having fun with our kids instead of getting back into our PRE baby clothes. I have taped a food log and a list of what constitutes a serving of each of the foods I plan to buy to the cupboard so that I write down every bite. I'm also going to try to type up my daily food logs so I have a more permanent record. I am just going to type the total, not the meal-by-meal breakdown.

A compliment none the less...

I think I was given a compliment today. My mom and I had gone shopping last weekend for some much needed clothes, since mine have gotten a bit too big. One of the stores we shopped at just announced a 50% off sale, so I trotted back in to get a credit for the stuff I bought last week. Happy Father's Day!!

Joe and I hiked through and around Palos Verdes, onto the trails, to the cliffs and on down to the beach (searching for sea glass, none today) and uphill to home for a total of approx 5miles. It was a great walk/hike and now Joe is cleaning out his closet of all of the clothes that fit him 30lbs ago. This acitivity was his Father's Day choice and I am so proud of him!!

Eight weeks and still going...

Eight weeks ago I thought I'd be waking up today to an entire new me. I haven't quite gotten there yet, but I'm on my way. I'm down 14 lbs and around 10+ inches...not a sharp stick in the eye, as my grandma would say. I still have a way to go, but this is the first time in my life where I know I will get there.
