Still truggin' along....

Well the past few weeks haven't been as nearly as productive as I would have liked, but that's bound to happen when "life happens", right? I am trying to get myself back 'on the horse' to where I was working out every day....good thing is that I've basically maintained what I've accomplished so far, and that is encouraging! I would love to get a flat tummy like Tracey's one of these days :P (and probably when that happens we'll have another bun in the oven!) I still owe Tracey an 'after' photo… Continue

How to sculpt your body lady like? Help!

I noticed that my shoulders are getting bulkier and broader. I bought 3 lbs of dumbbells and 2 lbs instead of working on the 5 lbs but work on repetitions once in a while instead of having to work out at the gym with 25 lbs more heavier once.

I just wanted to tone up my shoulders, my arms get rid of the wiggles and get ripped but on a lady like way.

Also, Of course, part of all ladies we want to sculpt our bodies. have curves on our waist, I do bend side ways with any of… Continue

About health, diet and exercise...

OK, so yesterday I attended a training for my business. I met with several women most of which were overweight moms, and I am NOT saying this to be mean because I was not in the best shape at the beginning of this program. What was interesting and a little frustrating is how women make up the excuse of "oh I'm a mom now and this poochy, belly, etc. will never go away, it just remains forever". I was about to say something but figured that it wasn't the best time or place to say anything so I… Continue

Late 6th week update...

More like 7th

I been wanting to come and update my blog, but I just haven't even log on line lately.

But the good thing is that I'm very happy with the results!!

I started out with 158 pounds, and as of this week I'm 145 pounds!! lost almost 3 inches off my waist, and 1/2 inch on my arms. lost almost 2 inches off my thighs and hips. So needless to say, I'm 100% happy with the results.

It's so funny but the first time I saw the menu on the dvds and saw the section picks, the… Continue

What time is the best to do cardio?

My usual answer is anytime you can fit it in. However, I keep getting asked if I have the choice when should I work out?

Well, here’s an added push to make an early bird workout a regular routine. Working out in the morning burns slightly more fat. Early in the morning before you eat, your levels of muscle and liver glycogen (stored carbs) are low. Why?

Well, say you eat dinner at 6 p.m. and don’t eat breakfast until 7 a.m. That’s thirteen… Continue

Still Seeing Results.. WOO-HOO!

I just took my stats and managed to lose a few more overall inches as well as a couple of pounds. I'm surprised since I flubbed so badly during week 3. I think the results have to do with my starting to bike. Normally I'd be running, but my PT strongly advised against it since my abs are so extremely separated. (super-duper sadness).

Since I can bike and that's my hardcore cardio option, I've taken to go on long (hilly) rides outside, as well as incorporate interval sessions on my… Continue

A slight set back....

My family has been fighting the sickies since the 4th of July weekend.....and it hit me hard this past week! So much so that today was the first time I've worked out in ten days.....yikes! I want to hit my weight goal by next Sunday, since we have a family photo, but I'm not sure how likely it is to loose 5 pounds between now and then. Hopefully, this sick bug has finally run its course and left!

Pear Shape

I have to stop from reading and thought I'd have to post. I couldn't reiterate it even more that I'm grateful about reading Tracey's book and how much of a good easy read it is. I'm short, just like her and those few women that was mentioned on her first few pages (which I am currently at) and I have read thoroughly what body shape I have.

There were times I thought I'm an Apple but no, because of Tracey's well written paragraphs, I'm definitely… Continue

Brown Paper Packages

I won Tracey's Sexy in 6 book from a weekly weight loss motivational question challenge, It took 2 weeks before I received the book which I have been looking forward to. It came in just right on time since I have been asked to stop my extraneous interval training from running because I have been suffering from severe insomnia, I have to fix my body clock until I get to sleep and wake up at the same time for the entire 2 weeks which means I will also have to incorporate early sunrise run rather… Continue

First

Being a first time mom has left me a bit frazzled. Starting with the lack of sleep and then baby-girls crazy schedule (just when I think she's on one she goes up and changes it on me) has left me overwhelmed and frustrated, especially since I used to have such a solid exercise regimen and the first 3-4 weeks since baby's birth had totally blown that out of the water.

I finally found the energy and time to begin the Body After Baby program 3 weeks ago. Within two weeks I managed to… Continue

Protect Yourself With Phytochemicals

Phytochemicals are plant chemicals that contain protective and disease fighting properties. Well-known phytochemicals are isoflavones in soy and flavnoids in fruit, and then most recently lycopene found in tomatoes. The human body does not require them to sustain life but current research suggest that they are necessary for fighting diseases such as cancer, heart disease, osteoporosis and many more.

The easiest way for us to consume plenty… Continue

Grr....Sizing Charts!

I know this shouldn't irriate me this much, but I was jumping thru the Victoria's Secret website this morning looking at the sales on their "career clothing" when I hit the link to their sizing chart. IF I did end up buying those on sale Marisa style pants, just what size should I buy? I seem to be a pretty solid size 6 right now (which I'm loving thanks to Tracey!). According to the VS chart, per my waist I'm between a 8 and a10, but per my chest I'm in a 6...but if you look under my hips I… Continue

Nutritious Eggs!

The media has given eggs—specifically their yolks—a raw deal by blaming them for high cholesterol.Yes, they do contain it, but if you have normal cholesterol levels and limit your intake of other fats, you can safely eat an egg a day. For those with high cholesterol, eat no more than four eggs a week. Egg whites are a great source of protein with no saturated fat, and I think there’s nothing better than a veggie-packed egg white omelet. I would… Continue

After a week of vacation and not eating as well as I should, I'm back on track. Luckily, vacation didn't cause my weight to increase. I think the extra activity helped me to still lose 2 lbs. I'm going to try to keep my daily log here in order to remain accountable. I just sent my 12wk results off to Tracey...here's what I've lost so far.

Weight - 17 lbs

Waist - 4 1/2 inches

Hips - 3 1/2 inches

Thighs - 2 1/2 inches

Back on track

After seriously falling off the wagon due to a personal/family crises, I'm back on track. Yesterday I did Total Body Blast A, B and C; and Mind and Body Blast A, B and C. It felt really great to work out again. I love Tracey's videos.

Happy Independance day!

Wishing you a day full of fun and laughter with your family. It's a weekend of food and drink so be mindfull with your choices. Ask yourself these four questions before you stuff your face.

1. Are you really hungry from a scale 1-5 with 5 being absolutely starving?

(Keep your scale around 1-2 by eating lowfat foods, fruit and veggies)

2. Do you want to wear that huge peice of chocolate cake on your thighs or would a small… Continue
