Have just done the abs 2 workout & the butt blaster 2 workout from Lose the Belly Flab. Can already tell it's going to hurt tomorrow - that's a good kind of hurt!
For those keeping track, I got 2 runs in over the last week, I'm sure I'll be ready for the Auckland half marathon in a month's time. It won't be my best, but it'll be my last time living here, so I'm going to enjoy it with a girlfriend.
Will recheck measurements tomorrow - I'm not noticing huge changes in my clothes…

I didn't get to run last week because I was relying on others, who weren't aware of how important it was to me. Seeing Tracey's facebook post that she was off for a run, and then a similar comment from another friend spurred me into action. I've signed up to a half marathon in 5 weeks, running it with a friend. It will be my last chance to run across the Auckland Harbour Bridge before we move to Australia.
So, I took time in my work day to go for a run & it nearly killed me! It was…

Hi Everyone! I'm just starting the Sexy in 6 Program today. I rented the DVD from netflix and loved them so I ordered the 4pack set. Can't wait to get them! Now, if I can get my diet on track. I'll be all set! Not quite finished reading the book but I will soon enough. Loved Tracey's realistic approach and really needed the pep talk of relaxing and stop beating myself up over the 15 extra vanity lbs. I've been carrying since I turned 40! (well it all started coming on at 38!! I'm ready to turn…

I am so anxious to get the book. I am hoping it comes in the mail today.
A funny thing, I've been doing the blast DVDs but when I started mInd body A it was more Yoga the first few exercises and I guess I decided I wanted something more intense so stuck with the total body blast. Two days ago I chose the Tues/Thursday option from Plan 2 on the DVD and did the three mind blasts A-C. Boy was I wrong. Great ab exercises that I've been missing all this time.
Tracey, question…

So, here I am a couple of weeks into it and it's been up and down so far.....
Getting the downside out of the way - we've had a stressful couple of weeks selling the house & one of the cars in preparation for the move. So there has been a couple of glasses of wine (stress relief & celebratory) which never help, a couple of days of missed exercise and a much needed bar of chocolate....
On the good side, I've been managing to stick to Quickblasts on most days. I have that lovely…

I am really excited to get started. I have been trying to get consistent over the past few weeks in preparation. I am excited listening to everyone talk about things in the book, Mine has been shipped and I was hoping it would be hear today but it didn't arrive. Maybe tomorrow.
I will start with the combined exercises on the DVDs and then continued with the book suggestions when it arrives.
One question, what are the other two DVDs in the 4 pack like. I bought the two…

Hi all,
I am also starting the challenge today. In fact, I just did my first session. I am going to follow the Pear Rotation since I have a lot of work to do on my lower body. I am going to also be doing the Couch to 5K program for extra cardio. I "used" to be a runner but after an injury, I got very lazy and gained some weight. Today, while doing the first of the Pear Rotation sessions, I could really tell how much cardiovascular and muscle endurance I have lost. It did not feel…

I am ready to start the challenge. I will not be doing measurements or pics or weight because I am pregnant and don't have hopes of losing!! :) I do hope that this challenge helps me get the eating plan and exercise plan in my life so that the habits carry over when I am looking to lose. I can feel overwhelmed at how far I have to go but I know this challenge and the team will be a great place for me.

I took my measurements today (Sun) and will take a pic tomorrow in a bathing suit. I can't wait to start this challenge!! I need to look over the book tonight and decide which program I want to follow. It's a toss up between the pear and apple rotation. My goal is to tone up my abs and legs and lose 5#.

I was reading an article called "Eat, Pray, Grow" by Sandra Byrd today and it was so relevant to me. It might as well have been written to me, by me, about me, etc. I have many nuggets to digest on this article but the one that pertains to this site was her brief mention of eating. I had this reaction of "How do you do that?" and then I realized that Tracey Mallett's program fit it to a T. There are no calories to count, there are healthy guidelines to direct your eating. It takes time and…

I ran a marathon earlier this year but since then, life seems to have got in the way of my training.
Swine flu, a couple of post viral infections for me & 3 sick kids put any thoughts of training on hold. And then the ultimate - my husband got a job overseas. So while the kids and I are here without him, my ability to just run out the door and get some exercise has gone out the window.
We'll be moving to the Gold Coast in Australia in a few months and I need to tighten everything…

Okay.. I love bench marks! Thanksgiving is a good benchmark.. that is what, about 12 weeks out!
So.. I encourage us all to set a goal of being more in shape and weight less..
We can do anything for 15 min if we focus.. so we can do a blast or two or three when we should be doing them.
I am out of shape, so I am walking 15 min a day, 3x a week, and then going to add 2 blasts next week, then keep adding a bit more.. I will stay motivated that way too..
How are you…

Okay, I was truly pathetic in the last challenge. Got sick and was left with no energy whatsoever. But I'm finding my way on track and have great motivation this time. I'm planning a four day tramping trip in January so HAVE to get fit and healthy...with the bonus of losing a few kilos in the process. I'm all over it this time round!!!!!
