Make Your Fitness Story A Success Story

So, here I am a couple of weeks into it and it's been up and down so far.....
Getting the downside out of the way - we've had a stressful couple of weeks selling the house & one of the cars in preparation for the move. So there has been a couple of glasses of wine (stress relief & celebratory) which never help, a couple of days of missed exercise and a much needed bar of chocolate....
On the good side, I've been managing to stick to Quickblasts on most days. I have that lovely sore muscle feeling that means I've actually worked out. My food has been good on most days too. I've ordered the DVD that goes with the Superfit Mama programme too to vary the routines and work on those abs which could always use the extra help.
I am working on some of my stress points that lead me to food - hopefully they are minimised now that the house is sold and the move is imminent.
I really miss going out for a run and look at runners enviously as I drive past them. I think that has been one of the hardest things to adjust to since my husband left for Australia. I am trying to plan time out to run and still find it a struggle to fit into the schedule. There are no casual gyms and with only a couple of months left here, hiring a treadmill isn't an option either (they all require long term hire or are incredibly expensive). My plan is to line up a friend to watch the 3 kids while I run 2 x per week as an interim measure. I'll let you know how that goes.
I've also managed to do a quick Yoga unwind session before bed most nights - I sleep so well after doing that & it really makes a difference to how I feel.
Weight? Well, there's been no change over the past 2 weeks, but given that any alcohol always bloats me, I'm not surprised. But there's been movement in the measurements & I've lost an inch off my hips, half an inch off the waist & half and inch off each thigh. Without taking my measurements, I'd be disappointed because there's been no movement on the scales, so if you do anything after reading my blog, TAKE YOUR MEASUREMENTS!

Congrats on the measurements! That's exciting to see. Your exercise program--and plans to run--seem solid. Keep it up!
